After Abigail
People in Tara’s life keep leaving. First, her husband ran off with their professional organizer, now a famous minimalist-lifestyle guru. Next, her beloved only child Abigail moved across country for college. Alone and struggling to carve a path forward, Tara clings to one last dream: seeing her offbeat musical come to life onstage. Desperate to pull it off and egged on by her imaginary alter ego, she enlists the help of a charismatic young actor in a risky scheme.
After Abigail chronicles a woman’s alternately hilarious and poignant efforts to cope with her newly solo life. Along the way, she discovers unexpected relationships and surprising strength while coming to terms with who she truly wants to be.
