After Abigail
People in Tara’s life keep leaving. First, her husband ran off with their professional organizer, who’s become a famous minimalist-lifestyle guru. Now her beloved only child Abigail has moved across country for college. As she struggles to carve her own path forward, Tara clings to one last hope: seeing her offbeat musical come to life onstage. To get it produced, she enlists the help of a charismatic young actor in a risky scheme. Can they pull it off or, like so much else in Tara’s life, will her dream be crushed?
After Abigail chronicles a woman’s alternately hilarious and poignant efforts to cope with her newly solo life. Along the way, she discovers unexpected relationships, surprising strength, and clues to who she truly wants to be.
